Hydrodynamics Including Waves

Wave propagation, reflection, and interference are simulated accurately with the 3D SMART, the Simuation for Marine and Atmospheric Reactive Transport, here emphasized for the example of a splash. The Navier-Stokes partial differential equations are solved for complex and dynamic coastal geometries including tidal dynamics, the influence of earth rotation, wind forcing, and salinity gradients. The figure to the left shows 3D SMART output with compelling accuracy and superior visualization.

Modeling basis

At environment.report we enjoy the beauty of:

  • Environmental modeling
  • Computer fluid dynamics including heat & mass transfer or any dynamic or differential system
  • Numerical mathematics
  • Finite Difference/Volume/Element Method
  • Fortran
  • MATLAB/Octave

We will be pleased to share that enthusiasm by giving a course that may also cover the more trivial tools for symbolic models (Maple), for environmental data curation such as Excel, or the environmental application programming aspects in C or PHP.
